    Description

    This is a used sample of antique barbed wire fencing. This sample features an Ole O. Kittleson patent, dated April 3, 1877. This wire is called "Kittleson's Two Point Half Hitch Barb on Single Round Line", by collectors. (ref Hagemeier 63-B) This wire features a single round un-twisted line wire. Line wire is 11.5 gauge. Barbs are two pointed made by wrapping a round barbing wire once around the line and then making a half hitch around the first barbing point. This sample is 18-1/4" in length and has fourbarbs,. Barbs are well spaced, and cut is well centered. Wire shows age wear, with light pitting,. There are no broken or repaired barbs. Wire is in in very good used condition. There are no off odors.
