    I recently purchased a collection of 19th century photos from Texas and Western states. Some very nice and rare images in this collection. I'll be listing these over the next couple of weeks.
    Wonderful large cabinet card of a farmer or cowboy posing with his dog and shotgun. I've stared at this photo for a while, mesmerized by what life must have been like on the Texas Mexico border when this was taken in 1911. It's a simple but powerful image of pride and hardship all rolled together. The photo is in great condition, but does have some light foxing in a few places. The card is good, but there is damage to two of the corners. The reverse has in pencil, "John Caley, Carrizo Springs, Texas 1911."
    The photo itself measures measures 4 x 5 1/2 inches mounted to a card measuring 6 x 9 inches.
    Really neat image.
