    Description

This is a used sample of antique barbed wire fencing. This sample features a Joseph F. Glidden patent, dated November 24, 1874. This wire is called "Glidden's Two Point on one of two round lines", by collectors. (ref Hagemeier 316-B) This wire features two twisted together round line wires. Barbs are two pointed made by wrapping a round barbing wire twice around one line. This sample is 18" in length and has four barbs,. This sample also has a one line factory splice on the non-barbed line. Splice was made by pulling ends past each other clamping lines together and twisting them. Barbs are well spaced, and cut is well centered. Wire shows light age wear, with light pitting,. There are no bent, broken or repaired barbs. Wire is in in very good used condition. There are no off odors. I have listed other wires, both as auction and fixed price listings. We will gladly combine multiple purchases for shipping, when paid on the same invoice ... using the buy it now option. First wire ships for .50; additional wires are fifty cents each extra. Twelve or more wire ship for free.
