    Description

    Up for auction is an antique early to mid 19th century hand wrought branding iron recently found at auction in Lancaster County PA.  It is found in good used condition.  Has a curved handle that fits comfortably in the hand.  Laid steel in several areas.  Oval 0 interior is 1.25x 1.75" and approx 1/8" thick branding iron.  Handle approx 1/2".  Unsigned unmarked.  Bends from use, pitting, rust, discoloration, of good age.  Nice antique primitive tool.
