    I recently purchased a collection of 19th century photos from Texas and Western states. Some very nice and rare images in this collection. I'll be listing these over the next couple of weeks.
    As you know the history of Bisbee, Arizona is relatively young with mining in the area in the 1880s giving rise to the town. The Palace Hotel was a fixture featuring guest rooms and also a store -- which is depicted in this photo. Just about every square inch has goods for sale. Behind the counter, a tired woman and a young boy wait for customers. Reverse has a pencil written, "Bisbee Az Palace Hotel." Images of the Palace Hotel do not become available often.
    The photo itself measures 4 7/8 x 6 1/2 inches mounted to a card measuring 7 x 9 inches. The photo is in remarkably good condition and the card is as well with a ding to the card on the extreme bottom right corner.
