    Description

I recently purchased a collection of 19th century photos from Texas and Western states. Some very nice and rare images in this collection. I'll be listing these over the next couple of weeks.
This piece is a card mounted photo of pack mules on the street in Ouray, Colorado. The caption reads, "Burros Packed for the Mtns A Street Scene in Ouray." Wonderful image of a group of mules loaded down with presumably mining equipment. In the background, buildings of downtown Ouray are visible as well as men and horses. Reverse provides details about the photographer -- W.H. Jackson in Denver.
The photo itself measures 4 3/8 x 7 1/4 inches mounted to a card measuring 5 x 8 inches. The photo is dark in time with considerable foxing. Also a couple of stray small marks are visible on the bottom (dirt street) portion of the image. The card has wear around the edges and corners and the left edge of the card is chipped. Still, this is a neat photo.
Always happy to combine shipping on multiple wins!
